KateFinished editing the set from Kate last night. Had a couple that tested my photoshop skills but they came out good.
No figure drawing tonight... I get to splatter paint with girl scouts instead. And of course bring my camera. Finally remembered to order batteries for my film camera... now I wish they were here.
My Saturday/Sunday Post
KateSo, I worked tonight and get to do it again tomorrow so this is my post for these two sucky days in which I am forced to make conversation with people who shouldn't be allowed on their own. I know I don't have the education of a therapist but damn I wish I made the same money for listening to people's bullshit. FYI: your hairdresser is just being nice by asking about your day.

AllanaGarage sale-ing was a win yesterday! I found a Konica film camera with lenses and flash for $30... It's in great shape, which isn't hard since most original cameras were made of metal and meant to last forever. All I need is to find a battery to fit.
Lockport Canal
The torrential rain that has plagued the area for the past two weeks has seriously inhibited my life. But tomorrow I am out to more garage sales... my favorite summer activity. Wish me luck!

These are a couple of my drawings from this week's figure drawing thing. The top drawing took 20 minutes, I had 40 for the bottom one. I need to concentrate on details that make that person look like that... less generic.

I've had songs from the musical "Rent" stuck in my head for a week now.
Hoping to shoot tomorrow... we'll see. I seem to go in spurts. Well, not me, but my access to models does. I wish I had a twin or something... that way I'd always have a model.

So I've actually been semi-productive today... load of dishes in dishwasher, swept kitchen, rounded up 6 piles of loose change from around the house and put into the loose change bucket, ironed 4 of jon's shirts, covered the grill and tried to secure the chairs so we still have them tomorrow, and brought some of the dishes jon hoards at his desk down to the kitchen. I've only been up for 2 hours.
The wind is horrendous today, it's rainy and crappy and everything is blowing away.
Brittany is my sister's friend from college and she wants to do another shoot of her and a couple more of her friends... which would be nice since models suck.
Models Kinda Suck
My sis and her friends againSo I haven't shot since this with my sister. I need someone I can call on a moment's notice and know she's game. Allana lives an hour away, Amy got a job, Becca's in Watertown, Melissa's life is full of drama, Rachel is hard to get a hold of, and Courtney's a flake (evidenced by the fact that I have yet to shoot her and we work together!)
I don't have a single shoot booked from here to eternity.

I came home and sat on the back porch with a beer and my Jonafin and watched our cat try to catch birds. Twas fun. My models yesterday and today cancelled... of course.
